  12. Subject:          Interactive (3.0 and 3.0.1) Follow-up Report

  14. Sunsoft Corporation (the owners of Interactive products) has made 
  15. modifications to the Bustek Driver so that it will recognize Bustek 
  16. compatible SCSI controllers.  These changes are not present in the current 
  17. release of Interactive 3.0.1 but will be available from Sunsoft as a 
  18. driver update diskette upon customer request.

  20. I have been trying to get permission to distribute this driver to our 
  21. customers with the earlier release of Interactive 3.0 in order to correct 
  22. the current configuration problem, but to no avail.

  24. Characteristics of Old Bustek Driver
  25.  
  26. 1.    The Series 44 does not work with Interactive 3.0.
  27.  
  28. 2.    The Bustek driver for Interactive 3.0.1 does not work under the 
  29. following situations:
  30.  
  31.     a.    EISA motherboard with AMIBIOS and Bustek 742A card.
  32.  
  33.     b.    Series 15 or Series 44 on an American Megatrends 
  34. motherboard.

  36. Characteristics of New Bustek Driver
  37.  
  38. 1.    If more than one controllers are configured in the system under 
  39. Interactive's kernel configuration, these controllers should all be of the 
  40. same type.  They are, however, looking into correcting the problem in the 
  41. next major release of their operating system.

  43. 2.    The "etc/conf/pack.d/bt742/space.c" file now contains a text 
  44. configuration file that a user with root privilege can modify for future 
  45. series number changes in American Megatrends SCSI controller boards.
  46.  
  47. The new FLUSH UTILITY diskette that will install under Interactive 3.0.1. 
  48. is not released, but is prepared for release on the first customer 
  49. complaint.
